Have you ever wanted to go home and enjoy an ice cold beer only to find your fridge is empty? Ever throw a celebration and run out of drinks? Or plan a dinner and forget to pick up more wine? If you've been drinking, it's probably not a good idea to drive.

Saucey is a Los Angeles based e-Commerce company which handles the fastest, easiest and most reliable on-demand alcohol delivery service. There are no order minimums or delivery fees, and they deliver within 30 minutes. That means your schedules can continue —à la carte, without interruption.

Our Challenge

These alcohol superheroes needed a web refresh and new summer look to better engage their users for the sultry season. We designed a seasonal landing page, web assets, and a complete set of category images to make shopping more enjoyable for these ridiculously responsible adults.

Understanding the Brand

Starting out with a quick discovery session, we found that Saucey is witty, sopisticated, edgey, premium, with a touch of promiscuous anarchy and rebelism. We structured the messaging for this project to highlight freedom and summer break fun. Pastel backgrounds, plenty of negative space, and playful imagery came together to form a refreshing summer aesthetic.

Visualizing Categories

Browsing through over 50 categories is a daunting task for any user. We sorted and analyzed each category's type, color, ingredients, and food pairings to create a set of images that function as well as inform. Each image features a drink in its category along with an ingredient or food that accentuates the drink's flavor.

Getting Users Excited

First impressions are important in setting the stage for anything new. Saucey was launching a brand new loyalty program and needed to get users excited about their special perks and status. We created an email campaign as well as in-app notifications to inform users about their current status, their new perks, and how they can level up.
